Who we are?
We started as a band in 2014 with a group of friends who shared the same passion for soccer. We didn’t have a name. We were playing instruments each game in the stadium under an existing support group. In 2023 we decided to become independent, and we named the group “Murga 117”.
Why Murga 117? Murga is a form of popular musical theatre performed in Latin America during Carnival season involving singing and dancing. 117, was the section in the stadium assigned for supporters back in 2014.
Our group grew so quick, and after several ideas tossed around in group discussion, the group debuted in August 2023 as official La Murga 117.
We are a group of soccer loving people with different Nationalities, family oriented who are striving to create an exciting supporters group culture in, outside and beyond the stadium. If you’ve been looking for friends who share your passion for FC Dallas team, you’ve found us.
Our Team
We are “La Murga 117”. We bring energy to the matchday experience, providing a heartbeat to the stadium and invigorating the team’s performance.
To us, soccer is so much more than a ball and goals; it connects people from all of the corners of the world and unifies communities. We are located in the corner near the South Goal. We are FC Dallas Fans, We are Dallas.
Vision
Our Mission is to passionately support our team FC Dallas through the good times and the bad times. To push our Club to greatness no matter the trials that come along the way.
Being in “La Murga 117” is much more than standing behind the goal and singing your heart out for FC Dallas. It's being part of a huge family, where everyone comes together to celebrate their love of the Beautiful Game. Every match we will be singing, yelling, playing instruments, waving flags, wearing scarves, and supporting the club with our passion through the final whistle.
In addition to supporting the club with our passion through the final whistle each home match, we provide fans an opportunity to create a unique community by creating and distributing our own merchandise and organizing member events (Tailgates) before soccer matches and watch party events during away trips.
